Ski code
1 Respect Every skier must behave in a way that does not endanger other people or cause damage. 2 Speed Every skier must adapt the manner and speed of his/her skiing to his/her ability and to the general conditions and weather on the mountain. 3 Choice of routes The uphill skier, thank to the dominating position, can choose which way to go and must keep to a route which avoids the risk of collision with the skier downhill. 4 Overtaking The skier can overtake either above or below, on the right or on the left, but must always leave space for the other skier to move. 5 Stopping The skier must not stop on the slopes unless it is necessary and especially not in blind stretches. 6 Climbing The skier who wants to climb up the slope must always keep to the side of the piste and must move away from it in the case of poor visibility. 7 Accident Everyone is obliged to provide assistance in the case of accidents (the FIS hopes that anyone who does not provide help will face criminal prosecution). 8 Identification Anyone who is involved in an accident on the slopes or witnesses must give his/her name and address. |
