Daolasa

A new access point to the ski runs has been added to the Folgarida-Marilleva ski area. Roughly halfway between Dimaro and Marilleva is Daolasa, the only place in Italy with a direct link from the railway to the lift facilities.

The new station at Daolasa offers the convenience of arriving by train (on the Dolomiti Express) and enjoying direct access to the lifts that lead up to the slopes of the Val Mastellina, which lies midway between Monte Vigo and Monte Spolverino, at the centre of the Folgarida-Marilleva ski area, making it ideal for families coming to the Val di Sole for a skiing holiday.

The Dolomiti Express, as the railway line is charmingly named, places the Val di Sole on the leading edge in Europe in terms of sustainable, eco-friendly tourism.

For this reason, the station at Daolasa is set to become a model of eco-sustainable progress, helping to protect the environment as well as making life easier for downhill skiers.
